Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking Assemblers for 1st shift to build IntelliRupters and support our global power grid operations. You will work at stations assembling components, inspecting assemblies, and using torque wrenches, hand tools, and cranes as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations.
• Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.
• Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints.
• Mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9’ x 4’ x 4’.
• Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (5 lbs. to over 50 lbs.).
• Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure.
• Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, gauges and overhead cranes, if required.

• Monday – Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Overtime on Fridays when necessary

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

• Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9’ x 4’ x 4’.
• Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 50 lbs. without equipment assistance). Some judgment required to assemble and make simple adjustments.
• Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure.
• Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes, if required.
