Job description

Assembler - 1st Shift

The assembler position offers starting pay around $16/hr, with potential increases based on experience. It is a 1st shift role, either from 5am to 12pm or 8am to 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools.
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines despite setbacks.
  • Team player able to interact positively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including talking, hearing, sitting, using hands, reaching, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Must be able to walk or stand on concrete for up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
