Job summary

Rittal LLC in Urbana, OH is seeking an Assembler for the 1st shift. You will assemble components and products using hand and power tools, follow specifications, and ensure quality through visual checks. A safe, clean, organized work area and effective teamwork are essential for success.

You should be able to lift and stand for long periods, read written instructions in English, and use basic computer tools as needed. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus; competitive pay is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing/assembly experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools, measuring equipment, and basic mechanical skills.
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform visual checks to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards.
• Package finished products and prepare them for shipment or further processing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 6-S and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Activities/Duties:

• Assemble components and products according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Perform visual checks to ensure parts and assemblies meet quality standards.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the shift.
• Lift 25-50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above shoulder level.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing assignments.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and diagrams in English.
• Basic computer skills; ability to learn and use software systems as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Safety Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse and manufacturing areas with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, and noise.
