Job summary

AMETEK in Indiana (Pierceton) is seeking a manufacturing associate to handle metal case assembly and related quality duties. You will assemble components, read blueprints, measure with calipers and micrometers, and ensure documentation accuracy.

After proving competency, you may train others and explore AI-driven process improvements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience with small hand tools.

• Identify AI use cases to improve productivity and cost efficiency and evaluate outputs.

Summary Of Position

• Responsible for all activities for quality operations of Metal Case Assembly.

Essential Functions

• Assembly of metal cases including insertion of rivets, brackets, and miscellaneous hardware.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation.
• Testing, inspection, and packaging of product.
• Metal finishing, prototype running, and other metal case production work.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience using small hand tools preferred.

• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
