Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc is seekingAssembler I–III roles in Beaver Dam, WI, onsite with a Monday–Thursday shift from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The Assembler I will perform basic assembly, validate materials, follow work instructions, and maintain quality and safety standards, including PPE compliance.

Assembler II requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of complex assembly experience; Assembler III requires 2 years in complex assembly plus demonstrated competency.

Qualifications

  • Assembler I: ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Assembler II: High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of complex assembly or related experience.
  • Assembler III: High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of complex assembly or related experience, and demonstrated Assembler III competency.
  • Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures, processes or policies; demonstrate good attendance, quality, attention to detail and adherence to safety policies; participate in team meetings to exchange job-related information.
  • Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor; use work instructions, drawings, schematics and electronic assembly equipment; access required information within the ERP system; contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput and cost.
  • Lead problem solving and implement countermeasures; cross-train in multiple assembly areas; train new/current employees on work instructions/standard work; develop product knowledge; lead team meetings and exchange job-related information; solve problems independently within designated authority level.

Location: Onsite — Beaver Dam, WI
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rates: Assembler I: $19.50/hour; Assembler II: $20.50/hour

Job Summary

The Assembler I is responsible for performing basic assembly work to manufacture products in a cost‑effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The role includes validating material before assembly, reviewing work instructions, building products per specifications and tolerances, completing clean‑up and housekeeping procedures, and complying with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations, including wearing all appropriate PPE.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Assembler I: Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Assembler II: High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of complex assembly or related experience. Demonstrated Assembler II competency.
  • Assembler III: High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of complex assembly or related experience, and demonstrated Assembler III competency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Assembler I: High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Assembler II: Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system.
  • Assembler III: Experience in root‑cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.), training other employees on work instructions/standard work, and prior use of SAP or equivalent ERP systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).
Essential Duties
  • Assembler I: Follow established procedures, processes or policies; demonstrate good attendance, quality, attention to detail and adherence to all safety policies; participate in team meetings to exchange job‑related information.
  • Assembler II: Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisor; use work instructions, drawings, schematics and electronic assembly equipment; access required information within the ERP system; contribute to improving processes, lead times, throughput and cost.
  • Assembler III: Use initiative and judgment to lead problem solving and implement appropriate countermeasures; cross‑train in multiple assembly areas; train new and current employees on work instructions/standard work; develop and maintain product knowledge; continuously learn principles, practices and processes; access information and perform transactions within the ERP system; lead team meetings and exchange job‑related information; solve problems independently within designated authority level.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk and hear; use hands to manipulate objects or controls; stand or walk; occasionally stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders; lift up to 25–50 pounds; perform frequent computer‑based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and focused attention.
