Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembler 1 for a contract opportunity in Hopkinton, MA. You will join the assembly department, working on passive high power microwave components.

Responsibilities include following diagrams and drawings, using hand and power tools, performing inspections, and handling delicate hardware; candidates should be able to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. This is an on-site, full-time contract position in Hopkinton, MA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, diagrams and blueprints.
• Ability to sit or stand for 2-hour periods, ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate bench grinders, sanders, apply braze stop using small brushes.
• Ability to assemble and handle delicate hardware using mechanical and electrical tools.
• Deburring.

• Works from diagrams and drawings, uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws; conducts continuity checks.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)

• Familiar with microwave waveguide and components and torch brazing experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High School Diploma/GED is required.

School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at Hopkinton, MA.
