Job summary

Rantec Microwave Systems, Inc. in Westlake Village, CA is seeking an assembler to contribute to aerospace product assembly under minimal supervision.

You will assemble antennas and sub-assemblies per drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, and install hardware using bonding materials. The role requires the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs, with attention to precision hand tools and measuring devices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain Respirator Fit Certificate.
• Preferred experience with bonding and adhesives.
• Preferred experience working with adhesives and chemicals related to assembly.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and BOMs is required.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Job description

Rantec Microwave Systems, Inc., located in Westlake Village has an immediate opening for an Assembler.

Working with minimal supervision, you will:

• Assemble Aerospace products that are compliant with Drawings, written Specifications, Customer Requirements, etc.
• Work with Bonding materials and mechanically install hardware.

Duties include Assembling Antennas and related Sub-Assemblies primarily using Drawings and Assembly Instructions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Respirator Fit Certificate issued by PPE Vendor.
• Preferred experience of Bonding (joining two components together with Polymer adhesive).
• Preferred experience working with adhesives and other chemicals associated with Assembly, Shelf life, Pot life, Expiration dates, Mixing Techniques, etc.
• Prefer working understanding of basic Precision Measuring Tools, i.e., Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dual Indicators, Torque-Drivers, etc.
• Requires a working understanding of basic Precision Hand Tools, i.e. Wrenches, Screwdrivers, Punches, Precision Hammers, etc.
• Must have the ability to Read, Understand, and Interpret Mechanical Assembly Type Drawings and BOM's.

Must be able to obtain a security clearance to perform all duties associated with this position.

Experience

1 Year Mechanical/Assembly experience required.
