Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is working with a longtime company to hire an assembler for fire hose components. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team to assemble subassemblies and finished goods.

Responsibilities include setup, operating assembly tools, labeling, testing and documentation. Schedule is Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:00pm at $19 per hour with standard benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA and company safety precautions and procedures
• Ability to work alone or in a team with minimal supervision, multitask and meet time pressures
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with other personnel
• Ability to occasionally work extended hours

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects parts prior to assembly to ensure quality
• Sets up and prepares jobs for assembly, including checking part availability on computer and obtaining parts from ASRS
• Operates assembly tooling and fixtures (presses, drills, testing fixtures, etc.)
• Assembles subassemblies and finished goods and uses Loctite, grease, epoxy as specified
• Prepares product surface for labeling and applies labels per BOM
• Performs wet tests and records results
• Performs related duties as assigned

Job description

Express Employment is currently working with a company that has been in business for over 50 years and is constantly focusing on new ideas to help first responders save lives! As an assembler you will need to be very detail oriented as you will play an integral role in constructing pieces for fire hoses.

Responsibilities:

• Visually inspects parts prior to assembly to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Sets up/prepares jobs for assembly, including checking part availability on computer and obtaining parts from ASRS as needed
• Uses assembly tooling designed for the assigned cells. For example, presses, drill machines, testing fixtures, assembly fixtures etc.
• Assembles subassemblies and finished goods and uses Loctite, grease, epoxy etc. as specified per assigned work instructions
• Thoroughly cleans and prepares product surface for labeling using acetone. Makes sure proper labeling is applied per bill of materials
• Wet tests finished products to ensure proper operation and absence of leakage per testing instructions. Tags product and records testing results
• Performs related duties as assigned

Schedule and Pay:

• Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:00pm $19.00/hr

• Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of OSHA and company safety precautions and procedures
• Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment with minimum supervision, work rapidly for long periods and work on several tasks at the same time, often under time pressure
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with other company personnel
• Ability to occasionally work extended hours
