Responsabilités

• Run wiring throughout cab units and underframes
• Measure, cut, strip, and lug wires to specifications
• Perform continuity testing on wires and cables
• Fit, assemble, connect, and install mechanical and electrical components
• Use hand tools, power tools, crimpers, strippers, voltmeters, jigs, and measuring devices
• Assist welders with prep work, repair, and grinding weld spatter
• Mask locomotive units for painting preparation
• Access and follow digital work instructions using computer systems
• Maintain safety, quality, and production standards at all times
• Perform basic measurement and calculation tasks as required

Overview

This role involves installing, wiring, and assembling locomotive cab units and underframes using schematics, blueprints, and detailed work instructions. The position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Run wiring throughout cab units and underframes
