Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a 1st Shift Assembler in Rockford, IL. You will assemble small ball-nut components using hand tools, review drawings, and document daily activity in the ERP system.

The role requires basic measuring skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with opportunities to learn and grow in a metal trades environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or significant relevant experience.
• Experience with small component assembly in a metal trades environment.
• Ability to read drawings, use measuring tools and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

1st Shift Assembler

An industry leading company is looking for an Assembler to join their team. This is small part assembly, so assembling screws to different products and assisting with production duties is key in this role. The ideal candidate will be reliable, driven, and motivated to work and learn new things. Previous industrial or assembly experience is a must! The schedule is M-F 6:30AM-3:00PM.

Job Requirements:

• Perform basic assembly of small ball-nut components using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, hammers, and other equipment as necessary
• Review part drawings and assembly instructions to gather necessary components and ensure correct assembly of ball-nut parts.
• Inspect product throughout the assembly process using basic measuring tools, ensuring ball-nut components meet required specifications.
• Document daily assembly activities, including part counts, machine performance, and material usage in the ERP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely production output.
• Perform quality assurance checks on completed products, particularly ball-nut components, to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
• Any/all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience.
• Experience with small component assembly.
• Familiarity with assembly in a metal trades environment or similar.
• Capable of using measuring instruments, i.e. micrometer, calipers, gages, etc.
• Capable of using all required hand tools, i.e drills, screwdrivers, impacts, etc.
• Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
