PPG Quality in Piedmont, SC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build essential respiratory safety products, including ventilation blowers and ambient air pumps. You will follow drawings, operate hand tools, and ensure quality through testing and packaging finished goods.

The role requires a detail-oriented mindset, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and willingness to work overtime. This position offers a first shift schedule with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Follow detailed drawings, instructions, and verbal guidance.
• Skilled with hand tools, calibration devices, and air gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid math skills with whole numbers.
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted - consistently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble respiratory products from parts and sub-assemblies.
• Test products to ensure performance and compliance with specifications.
• Package finished goods for shipment.
• Monitor inventory shortages and report to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and handle equipment responsibly.
• Support team needs with flexibility, including overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

As a Mechanical Assembler with PPG Quality, you’ll be hands‑on in creating essential respiratory safety products. From ventilation blowers to ambient air pumps and breathing air panels, you’ll transform components into life‑saving equipment that supports workers across industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble ventilation blowers, ambient air pumps, air filtration panels, supplied air respirators, and other respiratory products from parts and sub-assemblies
• Test products to ensure performance and compliance with specifications
• Package finished goods for shipment
• Monitor inventory shortages and report to supervisor
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and handle equipment responsibly
• Support team needs with flexibility, including overtime
• Perform other duties as assigned
