Job summary

The Cook Vandergrift facility is seeking an Assembler to follow documented specifications for product assembly, fabrication, cleaning, labeling and equipment operation. You will perform inspections, document results, and maintain quality system compliance in a controlled environment with gowning requirements.

Responsibilities include reading specs, using measuring tools, completing paperwork, and assisting in new product introductions, while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand product documentation and specifications.
• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screening.
• Familiarity with measuring devices and gauges is required.
• Ability to perform basic math and use a computer for data entry.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Overview

The Assembler at Cook Vandergriftis responsible for following procedures for product assembly/fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and follow specifications for product being manufactured
• Fabricate raw materials into specified products using various mechanical and/or manual techniques
• Perform various inspections and/or testing as required
• Accurate completion of necessary documentation
• Follow all quality system documents
• Report to work punctually and as scheduled
• Perform fine manipulative processes, using a microscope/micro forge,video screen, and/or other equipment for the majority of the day, seatedand/or standing at a workstation
• Perform work in a Controlled Environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirements
• Perform various computer functions
• Perform routine maintenance on certain machinery used in production
• Provide training of production personnel
• Assist in introducing new or improved products into production
• Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation andefficiency
• Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screening
• Ability to read, write and understand product documentation andspecification drawings
• Have the written skills to accurately complete paperwork
• Ability to use measuring devices and gauges
• Perform basic math skills and applications including addition, subtraction, multiplication anddivision including the ability to understand decimals
• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills
• Must have well-developed eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity skills

Physical Requirements:

• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 30 pounds
• Majority of day spent in Controlled Environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirements
