Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Morristown, TN is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specs. You will secure parts, fit components, operate hand tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

You will complete pre-shift startup checklists, keep production records, and ensure materials meet standards while following safety and quality procedures. No heavy experience required; HS diploma preferred, 6 months manufacturing experience preferred, basic

• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may label or band components.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized and equipment safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
