Job summary

Hendrickson in Mitchell, SD, is seeking an Assembly Technician to support the production line with efficient assembly and quality checks. The role requires reading and interpreting build specs, organizing workflow, and maintaining a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of assembly experience, with willingness to work overtime and pass drug tests. Safety training and teamwork are emphasized on a day-to-day basis.

Job Description Use required pneumatic/hand tools to assemble product per Company and customer specifications. Understand associated parts and their relationship to the end product. Must be able to facilitate all aspects of the assembly process.

Essential Functions

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Accurately report daily activities and production data as directed.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Coordinator.

Education and Training

High School Diploma/GED required. Prior production assembly experience, 1-2 yrs. preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
• Ability to work overtime, as production demands require.
• Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
• Must follow all safety practices and policies.

Physical Demands

Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp. Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching. Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing. Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.

Environmental Conditions

Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection.
