Go McPherson is seeking a hands-on assembler to build machines from components, reading blueprints and ensuring precise fits in a busy shop environment.

You will position parts, interpret dimensions, verify tolerances, and maintain clean, safe work areas while recording time and inventory changes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general assembly experience.
• Experience with power and hand tools is required.
• Read and interpret blueprints required.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
• Basic math and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Study and interpret assembly instructions.
• Verify all parts are present before performing work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and parts lists.
• Position parts and subassemblies.
• Interpret measurements.
• Verify specifications.
• Assemble components.
• Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.
• Alter dimensions to fit specifications.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive team attitude.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Record inventory change sheets as required.
• Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
• Accurately record time on jobs and projects.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
