(Lafayette, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking an Assembler to join our fabrication team in Lafayette, Louisiana from July '26 through March '27
Essential Duties:
Responsible for assembling skid-packaged units with all necessary components and equipment to ensure proper operation and testing in accordance with project specifications, under the direction of the Assembly Leaderman.
2. Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
- Assemble and disassemble packaged units and prepare for painting as directed
- Tag components for identification and location
- Protect components and piping from contamination
- Organize and prepare items for painting (on-site or off-site)
- Prepare and apply customer-required paint systems to major components
- Set up and safely perform hydrostatic testing on piping and/or tubing systems
- Verify testing requirements prior to execution
- Coordinate testing with leadership and representatives
- Install testing equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain and store testing equipment properly
- Conduct leak testing on fabricated storage tanks
- Read and interpret prints to assemble units accurately
- Install components in correct locations under supervision
- Identify and correct deficiencies (bolting, gaskets, hardware, etc.)
- Assist with installation and alignment of pump and motor systems
- Work with various configurations (direct-coupled, belt-driven, etc.)
- Perform laser alignment on API pump systems
- Understand pump functionality and system operations
- Read and interpret P&IDs for tagging and assembly
- Perform complete functional testing of pumps and systems
- Ensure proper test setup and documentation
- Adapt testing processes to meet unique requirements
- Safely handle pressurized equipment
- Identify and correct deficiencies during testing
- Maintain testing equipment and records
- Complete punch list items and ensure project close-out readiness
- Maintain tools and equipment in working condition
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate daily tasks and material needs with supervisor
- Maintain strong safety awareness and situational alertness
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.

Experience:
- 1-3 years of mechanical, assembly, or pump-related experience preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
Requirements/Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
- Ability to safely operate equipment and tools
