Job summary

Wabash is seeking Assemblers in Griffin, GA to perform varied tasks including installing subassemblies, operating rivet punchers, and applying decals. You will follow blueprints, measure materials, and install components while adhering to strict safety standards.

The role requires the ability to read and follow templates, wear PPE, and potentially rotate to other departments as needed. We emphasize safety, quality, and teamwork on the production floor.

• Install truck bed flooring
• Follow decal templates/ blueprints
• Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other parts
• Perform additional work as assigned by supervisor or team leader, may flex into another department
• Wear approved PPE (safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection)
• Complete assigned duties in line with safety policies and practices

Assemblers perform various tasks here a Wabash that vary from location to location. We have Assemblers that are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more in between

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performance
• Keeping their work area free of any potential work hazards
• Measuring and cutting material
• Installing truck bed flooring
• Following decal templates/ blueprints
• Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts
• Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department
• Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.

Physical Demands:

As an Assembler, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate tools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All Assemblers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Assemblers also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
