Job summary

Wabash is hiring a Maintenance Tech to perform a variety of site-specific tasks across our facilities in Pennsylvania. The role requires versatility in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, hydraulics, and general maintenance, with experience in SAP PM preferred.

Training is provided, and safety PPE is required on the production floor. You will work indoors and outdoors year-round, lift 50–70 lbs regularly, and participate in winter snow removal as needed.

• Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) system.
• Use hand tools safely and maintain them.
• Work with electrical (110v-480v) systems.
• Perform plumbing, drain and supply tasks.
• Do concrete grade work, forming, pouring, finishing.
• Carry out carpentry tasks from framing to finish.
• Hang, mud, and finish drywall.
• Handle hydraulics and related components.
• Snow removal in winter; may operate a pickup with snowplow.
• Regularly lift 50–70 lbs.
• Indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Position Description

Maintenance Tech's perform a variety of tasks at Wabash that vary from location to location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:

• Experience using SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
• Must have aptitude for using all types of hand tools and the proper care of them
• Electrical (110v, 200v, 480v single and 3 phase)
• Plumbing – drain and supply
• Concrete – grade work, forming, pouring, finishing
• Carpentry – framing to finish
• Drywall – hanging, mudding, and finishing
• Hydraulics
• Snow removal in the winter months – may be required to operate a pickup with snowplow
• Must be able to lift 50-70lbs regularly
• Working environment consists of being indoors and outdoors regardless of weather

Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience

Experience and education are a plus; however, it’s not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands

As a Maintenance Tech, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all assemblers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
