Fontana is hiring for a warehouse associate in Frankfort/Indiana area. The role involves weighing and labeling packages, inspecting materials, and producing daily production targets.

You will work closely with the Quality Department to ensure material and product quality, while maintaining safety and organization in a distribution center. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stay on your feet for long periods, and operate typical warehouse tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and label packages.
• Inspect materials for damage.
• Produce daily schedule targets for productivity.
• Create labels for finished goods and production reporting.

Essential Functions

• Weigh and label packages.
• Inspect materials to ensure there is no damage.
• Produce daily schedule targets to meet productivity.
• Create labels for finished goods and production reporting.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power equipment.
• Stage material to the schedule to meet customer demand.
• Work in partnership with the Quality Department to verify materials meet industry standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards and specifications are adhered to.
• Perform changeovers on the automated machine, including diameter and lengths.
• Maintain lot integrity through the assembly process.
• Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment while keeping the work area safe, clean and organized.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read job tags and understand processing steps.
• Communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck.
• Be proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Education

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
