Job summary

Siemens in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assembler for the 1st shift to join a modern manufacturing team. You will perform mechanical assembly of low- and medium-voltage units, read blueprints, and handle parts with basic tools. Expect on-site work with strict safety and quality expectations. Ideal candidates have some assembly experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Process and scan in/out work orders according to production schedule.
• Read and interpret documents such as blueprints and BOMs.
• Assemble fabricated parts into unit assemblies using hand/power tools.
• Prepare finished units for shipping with packing and labeling.
• Secure components and verify units meet specs and orders.
• Disassemble units to replace parts and connect cables.
• Perform other duties as advised by supervision.

We are looking for an Assembler to join our team on the 1st Shift! This position will be based at our NEW Fort Worth, TX sit; 14501 Mobility Way, Haslet, TX 76052-3114.

Hourly Rate: $18.11 - $21.74

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

• Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/ measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language
• Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl and climb.
• Reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months Assembly/Wiring Experience

You'll make an impact by:

• Processing and scanning in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
• Reading and interpretation of documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).
• Collection of parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
• Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attaches identifying tags, reports non-conforming items.
• Performs other work as advised by Supervision.
