Job summary

DuPont Spectrum is seeking an assembler in the 2nd Ops division to perform end finish operations, read DPR, and manage quantity requirements. Duties include labeling, completing DPR paperwork, and collecting finished products.

You will participate in various cut-to-length processes, use measurement tools, inspect extruded tubing, and help ensure product quality in a manufacturing environment. Strong hand dexterity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Legible handwriting and able to meet known targets.
  • 1+ years of on-the-job experience in medical device manufacturer or component manufacturer.
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for a minimum of 8 hours each workday.
  • Hand dexterity is essential; small parts assembly required.
  • Good eye-hand coordination is required.
  • Able to use pin gauges, ruler, tape measure, and caliper.
  • Able to work independently or in a team and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • End finish operations.

  • Prepare standard packaging label (spec #40001).
  • Complete DPR paperwork (spec#00005 & 00006).
  • Collect products and report processing difficulties to supervisor.
  • Perform various cut to length operations and use weigh/count scales.
  • Inspect in-process product and perform testing as needed.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation; conduct maintenance as assigned.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspection of extruded tubing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position works in the 2nd Ops division that further assembles product, cut to length and various other finishing of products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • End finish operations
  • Read DPR / determine quantity required
  • Standard packaging label (spec #40001)
  • Complete DPR paperwork (spec#00005 & 00006)
  • Collection of products
  • Report processing difficulties to supervisor (or designate)
  • Various cut to length operations
  • Use of weigh count scales
  • Miscellaneous in-process product inspection
  • Testing of products
  • General housekeeping and sanitation
  • General maintenance activities
  • Dimensional measurement of extruded tubing
  • Visual inspection of extruded tubing
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Physical Demands
  • Continual lifting up to 50 lb, gripping, turning, finger dexterity, and hand /eye coordination is required throughout the shift.
  • Long hours: 8 + hour shifts, mostly standing occasionally rotating into a sitting position.
  • Position requires good vision to inspect product for quality. Must be able to distinguish colors for some positions. Must be able to wear protective eyewear.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to noise is present. Safety equipment such as protective eyewear is required, however hearing protection is optional and both are provided by the company.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse and clean room environments.
