UFP Grandview, LLC in Chicopee, MA is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain the correct parts and supplies needed for the operation.

The role involves setting up the work area, assembling parts, using hand tools, inspecting finished products, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, and following safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together per instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components.
• Keeps the work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment; production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standard compliance.
• Follows safety and quality procedures and participates in programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembler I is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and in accordance with quality standards
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label, and band components finished product
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environmentMaintains production records as required
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• No minimum experience is required however, 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Hourly Pay Range

$19.00-$20.00 dependent on experience. *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay

For hourly positions with incentive pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
