Job summary

Western Enterprises, a Marmon Holdings company, is seeking an Assembler for Avon Lake, OH. In this role you’ll work on an assembly line and independently, wearing PPE and following established production methods to build quality components.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate simple tools.
• Able to work with small parts and tools as part of assembly.
• Standing for long periods is required on the production floor.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Teamwork and cross-training across production lines.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an assembly line group and also individually.
• Wear PPE as required and follow safety rules.
• Fill out daily, weekly, and monthly PM records.
• Report nonconformities to line leads.
• Follow production routes, bills of material and prints.
• Operate hydraulic or manual presses and other simple machines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do:

• Work as a member of a group in an assembly line
• Work individually
• Properly wear PPE
• Properly fill out Daily, Weekly, and Monthly P.M.
• Report any nonconformity to line leads
• Follow simple cleaning chores
• Daily check calibration due dates
• Comprehend and follow production & test methods
• Pull parts as needed for assembly
• Comprehend and follow production routes, bills of material and prints.
• Operate hydraulic or manual presses and other simple machines in assembly process.
• Understand and follow employee handbook.
• Follow and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
• Understand and know where the Material Safety Data Sheets are located.
• Follow all safety rules & requirements.
• Fill out daily labor cards correctly and completely.
• Observe working hour schedules (starting time, quitting, rest & clean up periods)
• Able to cross trains as needed.
• Maintain all surrounding areas for cleanliness, orderliness, and organization.
