Job summary

Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. seeks an Assembler for 1st shift in Austin, TX. The role runs on a 4/40 schedule (Mon-Thurs) from 6am to 4:40pm, with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour and benefits including overtime, medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

Responsibilities include assembling, inspecting, and modifying electromechanical subassemblies, reading schematics, and maintaining meticulous quality in a clean room environment. Prior conformal coating experience is desirable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Assembler - 1st Shift High School/GED or Trade School education.
• Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment.
• Prior conformal coating inspection experience is desired.
• Prior experience with conformal coat masking and coating.
• Ability to work meticulously with masking tape.
• Ability to use a fine brush to coat small features with a steady hand.
• Ability to work under slight magnification for the majority of the shift.
• Self-inspection of completed work.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
• Production accuracy and quality driven.
• Work in a Clean Room environment.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify various production subassemblies by following work plans.
• Inspect results to ensure conformance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications desirable.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills, including using software for MRP and data collection.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

SKILLS PREFERRED

• Assembler - 1st Shift High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of work experience or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
• Ability to become solder certified.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a successful working team.
• A passion for learning and knowledge.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

• Assembler - 1st Shift Prior conformal coating inspection experience is desired.
• Prior experience with conformal coat masking and coating.
• Ability to work meticulously with masking tape.
• Ability to use a fine brush to coat small features with a steady hand.
• Ability to work under slight magnification for the majority of the shift.
• Utilizes fixturing to accurately build assemblies.
• Inspect parts and materials for flaws and imperfections prior to use.
• Manually solder or epoxy electrical components.
• Use solder reflow ovens, semi-auto P&P machines, and automated measurement systems.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills, including using software for MRP and data collection.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

EDUCATION PREFERRED

• Assembler - 1st Shift Top Desired Skills Prior conformal coating inspection experience.
