Job summary

Emerson in Ash Flat, AR is seeking an assembler to perform assembly and sub-assembly of products according to standard work instructions and mechanical drawings. You will use hand and power tools on an adjustable table, test with calipers, and document progress in the ERP system.

The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs, read and write at a high school level, and perform additional duties as assigned. A background in blueprint interpretation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and sub-assemble products per standard work instructions and mechanical blueprints on adjustable height table.
• Test products using measuring tools and a testing cage for electronics as needed.
• Rework products failing tests, including disassembly, reassembly, and additional testing.
• Track progress and scrap in the ERP system.
• Move parts/products using overhead lift and pack finished goods for shipping.

Job description

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform assembly and sub-assembly of products based on standard work instructions and mechanical blueprints on an adjustable height table using hand tools and/or power tools

• Test products using measuring tools such as a calipers, and a testing cage for electronic components as needed

• Reworking products that do not pass testing standards, including disassembly and reassembly followed by additional testing

• Track progress and completion of work orders and associated scrap in the ERP system

• Use an overhead assist/lift to move larger parts and/or products to or from work bench

• Pack finished product into boxes on pallets

For This Role, You Will Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs

• Ability to do other duties as assigned

• Ability to carry objects; perform dynamic activities including reaching and stretching; and frequent bending and twisting of the torso

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Associates Degree in any field

• 1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
