Job summary

The DAVIS Companies in Andover, MA is actively seeking a skilled Assembler for a contract-to-hire role to join our security and inspection technology team. You will perform precision electromechanical assembly, subassembly work, and use a variety of hand tools to ensure high-quality results.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in assembling electromechanical devices, can solder and test to exact specifications, and will follow ESD and quality procedures with discipline and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent Trade School education.
• 2+ years of experience assembling electromechanical devices and subassemblies.
• Knowledge of hand tools including soldering equipment, screwdrivers, wrenches, pipettes and heat guns.
• Understanding of workmanship standards and quality control procedures, including ESD compliance.
• Results-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform general assembly on subassemblies using the appropriate assembly procedures.
• Hand crimp wire connectors with precision and care.
• Solder wires, PCBs, and subassemblies to exact specifications.
• Apply a variety of substances to test samples using a calibrated pipette.
• Learn and perform basic troubleshooting protocols and rework for non-conforming units.
• Meet expected daily production requirements.
• Stay flexible and handle priority changes as they occur.
• Report any quality problems or defects to management so corrective action can be implemented and recurrence avoided.

Assembler - Contract to Hire

A global leader in security and inspection technologyis seeking a skilled, detail-driven Assembler to join its team in Andover, MA. Rapiscan designs, manufactures, and markets systems used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, and vehicles at airports, border crossings, seaports, military installations, and beyond. In this hands-on role, you'll perform precision electromechanical assembly.

Pay Rate of the Assembler:

$22.00 – $24.00 per hour.

Schedule of the Assembler:

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
