Job description

Pay Range: $18.40 - $25.30

Position Summary:

The Assembler Picker Packer is responsible for kitting and shipping workflows for consumables products manufactured by Bio-Techne. This includes assembly of kits from component materials, inspecting finished products, and printing labels according to the planned schedule. The Picker’s duties involve pulling orders, staging items in the pack processing area, and ensuring accuracy in packing orders. Employees will also label and cap products as necessary, break down expired kits, and participate in cycle counts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Follow a kitting document to successfully pack orders for shipment.
  2. Collect and inspect finished products prior to packaging.
  3. Box, shrink wrap, label, and package shipments as required.
  4. Assemble components to meet product cycle times and quality expectations.
  5. Document results, process, and refer to past batch records.
  6. Maintain tracking sheets to monitor product status.
  7. Understand applicable databases to gather products based on work orders.
  8. Ensure that orders are picked and packed accurately.
  9. Maintain and organize product storage areas (coolers, freezers, shelves).
  10. Follow appropriate lab protocols and department SOPs, including proper use of equipment and hand tools.
  11. Participate in continuous process improvement efforts.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; up to 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Experience with MS Dynamic AX is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and priorities set by a supervisor.
  • Physical ability to stand and move to pack orders.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn multiple functions within the department.
