Job summary

Qualifications

• Coaching authorization or endorsement issued by the Iowa Department of Education.
• Demonstrated proficiency to perform the assignment.
• Preference given to successful experience at the assignment/level.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable as determined by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages participation.
• Assesses players' skills and assigns team positions.
• Develops practice schedules and organizes time for development.
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Monitors players’ academic performance and encourages eligibility.
