Uncommon New York City Charter Schools is looking for an Apprentice Teacher to provide hands-on practice and training for becoming a successful classroom teacher. This role includes observing Master Teachers and co-teaching, as well as assisting with tutoring and classroom responsibilities.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, energetic, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The position offers a salary of $60,000 and includes generous paid time off along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Drive to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of the classroom.
• Prior experience working in schools or urban communities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach content across multiple grades and gradually take on more responsibilities.
