Job summary

Qualifications

• Apprentice I: Completed a Teacher Academy of Maryland program and enrolled in a program leading to teacher certification OR earned 40 credits toward certification.
• Apprentice II: Within two years of degree completion toward licensure OR hold an associate’s degree and enrolled in a certification program.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic interventions and services under mentor guidance.
• Assist in co-teaching and small group instruction.
• Support classroom management and student supervision.
• Develop learning activities with mentors and teachers.
• Attend professional development sessions.
• Continue coursework toward teacher certification.
