Requires enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology program, a valid temporary radiographer license, and CPR certification;

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Valid Temporary State Medical Radiographer license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures including chest, extremities, skull, spine, and abdomen.
• Practices radiation safety for patients, staff and self.
• Operates radiographic equipment, EMR, and PACS; reviews patient history for accurate documentation.
• Coordinates exams within the department and with other departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Cleans, disinfects, and maintains imaging equipment; reports issues promptly.
• Assists with scheduling and communication related to imaging services.
