Job summary

UFP Factory Built in Folkston, GA seeks a Production Management Trainee to gain hands-on knowledge of plant operations and manufacturing processes under mentor guidance. You will learn materials utilization, product costing, scheduling, and budgeting, while supporting policy adherence and safety standards.

The role offers on-the-job training across facilities, with assignments and reporting duties designed to build a solid operations foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel spreadsheets is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive knowledge of Company products and procedures through on-the-job training activities.
• Develops knowledge of lumber grades and efficient utilization of materials.
• Learns to operate the Company’s business system to perform required administrative functions.
• Develops knowledge of product costing and budgeting processes.
• Assists with production scheduling and cost-control activities.
• Supports continuous improvement, safety, and policy adherence.
• Tour other facilities to understand operations and processes.
• Prepares required reports and performs other duties as assigned.
