Ashurst Perkins Coie Group is seeking Junior Patent Prosecution Technical Advisors for its offices in New York, Austin, San Diego and Seattle to start full-time in June 2027. You will work with attorneys to draft and prosecute patent applications, leveraging your engineering background and strong academics.

The program includes mentoring, professional development, and pathways toward becoming a patent agent while pursuing further opportunities. Competitive compensation and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Candidate must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar.
Strong academic credentials and excellent references required.
Interest in becoming a patent agent and available to start full-time in June 2027.

Responsibilities

Draft and prosecute patent applications in collaboration with attorneys.
Work side-by-side with legal personnel to develop patent prosecution skills.
