Kern Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant I for the Q Street Clinic in Bakersfield. This is a temporary, full-time, on-site position supporting outpatient care under supervision. The role includes vital signs, immunizations, lab specimen handling, and patient prep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current BLS certification required or obtainable within 60 days of hire.
• Applicants must submit transcripts and/or certificate verifying completion of MA program.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits; record vital signs and chief complaints.
• Administer immunizations and medications; perform office testing and collect specimens.
• Assist with exams and minor procedures; maintain medical records and supply areas.
