Job summary

Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters Payroll Account is seeking a Junior Litigation Paralegal to support the management of litigation matters through the case lifecycle. You will assist with lawsuits, mediations, agency complaints, arbitration, subpoenas, discovery, hearings, and trial preparation under attorney supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in paralegal studies or related field.
• Two years of paralegal or legal office experience.
• High proficiency with writing, technology, including Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, electronic filing, LexisNexis, Westlaw and other internet research tools.
• Thorough understanding of the discovery process, including ESI collection, processing, and management.
• Ability to handle multiple caseloads with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support management of litigation matters throughout the case lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files; organize pleadings, correspondence, exhibits, and other records; track court deadlines and calendars.
• Review incoming legal documents; assist with preparation of court, discovery, and trial materials under attorney supervision.
• Support legal research, document collection and e-discovery, subpoena responses, outside counsel coordination, and litigation budget/invoice tracking.
• Provide liaison to internal divisions seeking litigation information; support ARCC for non-legacy legal matters; review subpoenas and coordinate responses.
