Job summary

Engineered Air Balance (EAB) is seeking a Technician in Training in Spring, TX, to learn and perform total system balancing across HVAC, hydronic, and control systems. The role is entry-level and designed to build foundational skills under experienced professionals.

You will engage in industry-standard procedures, with opportunities to advance to a fully qualified Technician role, and participate in the company’s structured training program to earn certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or HSE required; two years of college preferred.
• Two years of related experience with high school diploma or HSE, OR no experience required with two years of college.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be available to work primarily at South Houston/Galveston job sites and throughout the Greater Houston area.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic math skills to understand and use formulas for testing, adjusting, and balancing.
• Read mechanical plans to locate equipment on project sites.
• Learn proper setup, storage, operation, and calibration verification of field instrumentation.
• Collect and accurately record field data for basic equipment.
• Assist with testing, adjusting, and balancing systems according to standard procedures.
• Follow all safety requirements for each task performed.
• Participate in the EAB Technician Training Program, attend classes, complete assignments, and prepare for certification exams.
• Must be available to work primarily at South Houston/Galveston job sites and throughout the Greater Houston area as required.
