Job summary

Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional for the October 2026–May 2027 season. Starting pay is $22.00/hour with a pro-active role supporting the Head Golf Professional in day-to-day operations and delivering world-class service to members and guests.

The ideal candidate is professional, a team player, and pursuing Class A PGA/LPGA certification. Prior experience in a high-end operation is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-end golf operation is preferred.
• PGA/LPGA certification path enrollment or active pursuit is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and enthusiastic customer service in all areas of the golf operation.
• Assist members and guests with tee times, special orders and information on Club activities.
• Maintain familiarity with Club communications and events.
• Greet members on the shop floor and use suggestive-selling techniques.
• Mentor and support the development of Associate Golf Professionals.
• Record daily play on tee sheets and daily sales via POS.
• Assist with quarterly inventory and achieving budgeted sales goals.
• Perform opening and closing duties of the golf shop.
• Ensure carts and practice facilities are maintained per course requirements.
• Monitor pace of play and attend mandatory golf meetings.
