Job summary

Willdan Performance Engineering, a subsidiary of Willdan, is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support project managers in coordinating activities from planning through closeout. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management or related training and 3+ years of construction experience, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, technical coursework preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in general construction, mechanical, or electrical.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, DER, and lighting technologies.
• Strong project management skills and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel (including automobile, public transportation, rail, and airplane).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities to ensure schedule, document control and quality standards are met.
• Assist Project Managers/Construction Managers in planning, tracking budgets and forecasts.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with contractors/consultants.
• Develop tools, processes and procedures to facilitate projects.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, schedules, and on-site construction activities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and accurate project documentation.
