Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking motivated college students for a summer Associate Project Engineer internship. This program equips interns with essential tools to gain insight into the specialty construction industry.

Interns work under a dedicated mentor, complete the Intern Activities Checklist, and submit Weekly Project Recaps detailing activities, collaborators, and learnings. The role includes exposure to estimating, scheduling, managing subcontractors, and site safety practices.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing Construction Management or Construction Science
• Must have reliable transportation
• Willing to relocate temporarily for assignment
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word) and able to read specs/drawings
• Strong verbal and written communication; team player
• Able to multitask and solve problems under guidance

Responsibilities

• Assist in tasks on Intern Activities Checklist
• Prepare proposals and bid analyses
• Support project scheduling and labor/material management
• Attend pre-bid walk-throughs and site visits
• Document project activity and prepare weekly recaps
• Coordinate with owners, managers, architects, and subcontractors
