Jacobsen Construction Company, Inc. is seeking motivated students for an internship program based in Salt Lake City. You will gain hands-on exposure to contract documents, site activities, and document control while supporting project teams on real construction tasks.

Ideal candidates are enrolled undergrad students in engineering, construction management or architecture, eager to learn, collaborate with design teams, and contribute to safety and quality on active projects.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or related technical field.
• Interest in construction industry with willingness to participate in internship activities.
• Desire to develop professional skills in project coordination and document control.

Responsibilities

• Develops understanding of contract documents and interdependencies.
• Observes and records site activity per contract frequency.
• Manages document control to align with contract requirements.
• Evaluates change orders, design changes, and drawing releases.
• Reviews submittals and as-built drawings; supports project scheduling.
• Assists in cost control, information exchange, and project closeout.
• Coordinates meetings, prepares minutes, and tracks action items.
• Supports safety programs and professional relationships with owners and contractors.
