Job summary

Jenks Public Schools Transportation in Jenks, Oklahoma is seeking an energetic School Bus Driver In-Training. This position provides hands-on driver training toward earning a class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.

Starting immediately as a temporary hourly contract, the role requires a high school diploma or GED, a good driving record, and compliance with state and district requirements. The driver-in-training will participate in theory training and the DOT readiness activities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Good driving record.
• Complies with all state requirements.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Attend training and complete ELDT theory course with at least 80% on four tests.
• Study and pass tests to obtain a commercial learner’s permit.
• Learn to operate a class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Learn Jenks Transportation protocols and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
