Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace, Savannah, GA, is seeking an Apprentice Avionics Installer to join our training program. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in avionics installation and manufacturing under direct supervision, with a clear path to becoming a proficient avionics installer.

As you train, you will learn to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, use basic shop math, and develop job skills while meeting demanding schedules.

Qualifications

Entry-level position requiring a High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
Aptitude for hands-on craftwork, professional attitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to meet demanding schedules.
Proficiency in current personal computer–based software.
Availability to work any shift.
Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist in installations, modifications and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
Assist with completing tasks within allotted time frames.
Assist with maintaining required logs and records.
Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5‑S program, and all safety regulations.
Observe and assist to become familiar with parts and assemblies, then work with decreasing supervision as experience grows.
Perform other duties as assigned.
