Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace, Savannah, GA, is seeking an Apprentice Avionics Installer to join our training program. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in avionics installation and manufacturing under direct supervision, with a clear path to becoming a proficient avionics installer.

As you train, you will learn to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, use basic shop math, and develop job skills while meeting demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
• Aptitude for hands-on craftwork, professional attitude, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to meet demanding schedules.
• Proficiency in current personal computer–based software.
• Availability to work any shift.
• Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installations, modifications and fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
• Assist with completing tasks within allotted time frames.
• Assist with maintaining required logs and records.
• Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5‑S program, and all safety regulations.
• Observe and assist to become familiar with parts and assemblies, then work with decreasing supervision as experience grows.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
