Job summary

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) seeks a part-time Aspire classroom leader to work with Norwalk middle school students after school. You will provide academic support, life skills programming, and leadership to a classroom, while collaborating with staff and families.

Responsibilities include supervising students, executing lesson plans, and maintaining student records in Evolv database. This role requires an associates degree and experience with youth; a preferred bachelor’s degree in education

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required with minimum two years’ youth-facing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.
• Strong classroom management and ability to engage middle school students.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Aspire program students, ensuring safety.
• Deliver life skills and enrichment activities as part of after-school services.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and implement lesson plans.
• Help with goal setting and service planning for students and families.
• Maintain accurate progress notes, grades, and documentation in Evolv database.
• Ensure program space is organized and materials are maintained.
• Support on-site supervision of volunteers and work-study students.
