Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive the company truck from yard to job site and back daily.
• Prepare sites using weed chopper, scraper, power washer, sander, blower and tools before seal coat.
• Open surface cracks with a crack router and fill as required.
• Apply hot pour crack fill with seal kettle or use leveling materials with squeegee or trowel.
• Seal coat surfaces using brooms, squeegees or sprayers.
• Layout and stripe parking lots for commercial jobs.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
• Communicate with customers from start to finish.

Job description

You will be responsible for successfully cleaning, preparing, crack filling and seal coating customer projects on a daily basis with other team members. The short season of seal coating (May thru September) can require long days and some weekend work in order to keep up with the growing demand of our services. The high quality of your artistic value is needed to deliver the finished product for years to come.

Daily Duties:

• You will be responsible for driving a company truck from the yard to the job site and back every day.
• Ability to operate and manage the use of equipment in order to prepare and seal the site as well as carry out routine and preventative maintenance on tools and machinery.
• Prepare the site for application of sealer with use of weed whacker, scraper, power washer, industrial sander, push blower and/or wire broom to clean surface prior to application of seal coat or crack fill material.
• Surface crack preparation utilizing a crack router to open surface cracks prior to filling as needed.
• Application of hot pour crack fill material utilizing a crack seal kettle and a wand or cold crack fill leveling materials with a squeegee, lute or trowel.
• Application of seal coat, utilizing brooms, squeegees and/or sprayers.
• Layout and stripe parking lots for commercial jobs
• Read and interpret work orders, blue prints and other instructions.
• Communicate effectively with the customer from start of the project to completion.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Great interpersonal skill to work in a collaborative friendly work environment.
• An excellent driving record and the ability to drive company trucks is needed.
• Candidate must be a team player, possess a positive work attitude, be self-motivated and able and willing to work overtime as well as Saturdays/Sundays as required.
• Able to communicate clearly with members of the crew and the supervisor.
