Job summary

CRH is seeking a Screed Operator to operate the screed on asphalt paver and perform adjustments for proper depth and grade. You may also assist with screed extensions and other paving equipment on varied sites.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, teamwork with foreperson and crew, and safety adherence on site. You must be willing to travel, work nights and weekends as required, and pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Pass pre-employment Fit for Work physical.
• Provide valid I-9 documentation.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Outdoor work in extreme temperatures hot or cold.
• Ability to stand for long periods and follow safety rules.
• Team-oriented and willing to assist others as needed.
• Wear PPE in designated areas as required by OSHA/MSHA.

Responsibilities

• Operate screed on asphalt paver and adjust for depth, grade and cross section.
• May add/remove screed extensions and operate related machinery.
• Maintain and service equipment; assist foreperson and crew.
• Follow directions and maintain professional conduct on site.
• Willing to travel to job sites and work nights/weekends as needed.
