Job summary

Fort Myer Construction Corporation is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator to compact earth and asphalt surfaces for roadways and parking areas. You will ensure a smooth finished surface and coordinate with the crew to adjust rolling parameters.

Required: 2+ years of asphalt roller experience, High School diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background/drug screening. DCRA license is a plus; extended hours may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt roller to compact earth, subgrade, and asphalt surfaces on highways and streets.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Adjust vibration, water systems, and rolling speed for desired surface.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew using hand or audio signals.
• Understand material thickness and temperature to determine rolling range.
• Work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
