Job summary

ViaSun Corporation is seeking hardworking Asphalt Rakers to join our paving team. You will rake and spread hot asphalt, assist with surface prep, and operate hand tools to ensure smooth, high-quality surfaces on roads and parking lots.

Experience in paving or construction is preferred, with the ability to work in varying weather conditions. A valid driver’s license is preferred, and safety is a core priority on all projects. We offer comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

ViaSun Corporation is currently seeking hardworking and reliable Asphalt Rakers to join our team. As an Asphalt Raker, you will play a crucial role in the construction and paving of roads and parking lots, ensuring smooth and even surfaces.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Raking and spreading hot asphalt material to achieve specified thickness and smoothness.
• Assisting with the preparation of surfaces, including cleaning, priming, and filling any cracks or potholes.
• Operating hand tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, and tampers.
• Monitoring and adjusting the flow and temperature of the asphalt material.
• Collaborating with the paving crew to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience working in the paving or construction industry. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work well in a team, and follow safety protocols is essential. A valid driver's license and knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment would be preferred.
