Job summary

Dolomite Group, a CRH Company, is seeking an Asphalt Quality Control Technician to test raw materials and finished asphalt products to ensure compliance with specifications. The role supports Greater Rochester projects and requires teamwork as well as independent work.

Travel to multiple sites across the Greater Rochester Region and Southern Tier is expected with mileage reimbursement; strong computer skills and experience with MS Office and databases are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Experience in quality or engineering is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable automobile.
• Willingness to drive to multiple sites across the Greater Rochester Region and Southern Tier with mileage reimbursement program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tests on raw materials, process components and final product to ensure requirements are met.
• Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
• Correct any deviations in these processed or materials from the requirements.
• Evaluate data for deviations or trends away from accepted standards.
• Computer skills: to type and use keyboards accurately and be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Database software.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain test result database; input data.
• Assist internal and external customers in any quality related matters.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Ability to build partnerships and to work with others to meet shared objectives.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
