Position Overview

The Asphalt Plant Operator oversees asphalt production, operating and maintaining equipment to ensure efficient and safe manufacturing. Key responsibilities include safety, production efficiency, proactive maintenance, and financial management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and control plant machinery to produce asphalt per mix designs.
• Monitor and test asphalt quality, including temperature and composition.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with the team to meet production targets, adjusting parameters as needed.
• Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and participate in safety training.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Over 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass pre-employment testing (drug screen, physical).
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and perform basic math and geometry.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical and Working Conditions
